Elderflower liqueur is an immensely popular ingredient among professional bartenders and home bartenders alike. It adds a rich, beautifully floral and somewhat fruity flavor to cocktails. It complements many spirits but pairs especially well with the botanicals in gin. The gimlet is a classic gin cocktail made with lime juice and simple syrup. For this recipe, I’ve replaced the simple syrup with elderflower liqueur for a simple, yet flavorful upgrade.
