CUBA LIBRE

One of the most famous of all rum-based drinks was reputed to have been invented by an army officer in Cuba shortly after Coca Cola was first produced in the 1890s.

INGREDIENTS

50 ml/2 oz. white rum

1 lime

cola, to top up

METHOD

Pour the rum into a highball filled with ice; 

cut a lime into eighths, squeeze and drop the wedges into the glass. Top with cola and serve with straws.
